TRAVELLERS who had moved onto a park and ride car park near Winchester have moved on.
The small group of around six caravans and motorhomes had parked at the South Winchester site near Compton last week, sparking legal action from the city council.
A court order required them to leave by Friday morning. They were still there on Saturday evening but have since departed.
They left things relatively tidily with several bin bags stacked up.
The South Winchester park and ride off Otterbourne Road is a large site with more than 850 spaces and is regularly used by Gypsies and Travellers.
