A CYCLIST has been seriously injured after a crash with a car in Highcliffe. 

The male rider, in his 40s, was cycling in Lymington Road when he was involved in a crash with a red Jaguar opposite Sunset Mews. 

He was taken to hospital with injuries described as “serious” by the police and the Jaguar driver was uninjured. 

Police constable Rio Baker, of Dorset Police, said: “An investigation is underway to establish the full circumstances and I would ask members of the public who saw what happened and have not yet spoken to police to please come forward. 

“I am also appealing to anyone who may have captured anything of relevance on CCTV or dashcam footage to please come forward.”
