Howden Insurance has renewed its corporate partnership with Play to the Crowd charity to support Winchester's emerging theatrical talent.

As long-term backers of Theatre Royal and Hat Fair, their contributions have been instrumental in nurturing budding actors and performers.

The latest three-year commitment mainly supports the Playmakers Youth Theatre by the charity. The program helps children build confidence and resilience through drama and acting.

The Youth Theatre programme gives participants a platform to create their own pieces, with their annual showcase in March having received rave reviews.

Play to the Crowd is committed to making theatre accessible and affordable, providing financial support to those who need it and creating a welcoming environment for all young people, values that Howden Insurance fully supports.

Kirstie Mathieson of Play to the Crowd, said: "We are thrilled that Howden Insurance in Winchester recognise the important role participating in a Youth Theatre can have on developing a young person's life skills - from finding their own voice to building their self-confidence and improving their social skills."

Playmakers are excited to show their theatre skills in their upcoming shows at Hat Fair from July 5-7.
