AN exhibition by Hampshire Swifts, a local charity active in reversing the decline of the birds, has been running for several weeks in the Hampshire Record Office in Winchester.
The last opportunity to see this in the Hampshire archives and local record section is Friday, April 30.
Doors open at 5.30pm to give an opportunity to view the exhibition prior to a talk at 6pm by Tim Norriss. It is an opportunity to learn more about swifts, how to save them and their history as detailed by writers of the past.

The most significant of these is the Selborne naturalist Gilbert White who was devoted to studying swifts and writing about them in the second half of the 18th century.
