Celebrity chef James Tanner recently assisted in raising nearly £9,000 for Heartbeat.

The Hampshire-based cardiac charity hosted a glamorous fundraising dinner at the "Violin Factory", a stunning private home in London, on April 12.

Tanner and the Ascot Racecourse 1711 team served a six-course meal for 30 guests, with every dish paired with wines donated by Hallgarten and Novum.

The menu featured a variety of dishes, like pickled west country crab and braised short rib of beef. Heartbeat extends heartfelt gratitude to Tanner for using his culinary expertise towards a charitable cause.

Tina Richardson, head of operations for Heartbeat, said: "We really are so grateful to James for giving up his time to support our charity. The help and generosity from our supporters are vital to us."

James Tanner said: "It was fantastic to be part of such a great event, I managed to take a short break away from the kitchen to meet the Heartbeat team and hear about the charity’s amazing work. It’s important to be able to give back and we were all really pleased to be part of the evening and for it to have been such a great success."

The funds raised will be used to aid congenital and cardiovascular disease patients.
