Man must pay more than £182 for stealing alcohol from shop twice in a week
A WINCHESTER man has been fined for stealing from a shop two times in the same week.
James Green, 54, of Durngate, was charged with two counts of theft after he stole alcohol worth £20 from Marks & Spencer on Monday, January 29 and again on Wednesday, January 31.
Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on April 11 he pleaded guilty to both charges.
Green must pay an £80 fine, as well as £30 compensation. He must also pay £40 costs and a £32 victim surcharge.
The total sum of £182 must be paid in full by Thursday, May 9.
