A HAMPSHIRE village held a ceremony to open a memorial garden as a tribute to the late Queen.
On Saturday, April 13 Nigel Atkinson, the Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire, was joined by Cllr Jan Warwick and other guests to formally open the Queen Elizabeth Memorial Garden in Otterbourne.
Sponsored by Otterbourne Parish Council and supported by Hampshire County Council, the tribute garden is positioned at the entrance to the footpath to Otterbourne School.

The garden includes two native flowering cherry trees planted last November, one of which is sponsored by Otterbourne Women’s Institute to commemorate its centenary.
David Green, project lead at Otterbourne Parish Council for the tribute garden, said the WI tree was a fitting addition in view of Queen Elizabeth’s life time presidency of the WI.
To complete his day in Otterbourne, Mr Atkinson also paid a flying visit to the Queen Elizabeth Rose Garden at Otterbourne School which he officially opened in 2016.
