BURGLARS have targeted a house in Curdridge Lane, Curdridge.

The break in happened between 8am and 1pm on Friday, August 8, while the occupants were at work.

Police said that when the homeowners returned, they found the offenders had entered through an open conservatory window, unlocked the patio doors from the inside and conducted an untidy search of the entire house.

A number of pieces of jewellery as well as some electrical items were taken.

PC Stewart Paton said today (August 13): "I am appealing for anyone who may have any information to contact us, no matter how insignificant they may feel it is.

"Burglaries of this nature are still quite uncommon in this area, however, I would advise all residents to ensure that their house or flat is completely secure when left unattended."

Anyone with any information in relation to this incident should contact PC Stewart Paton at North Walls police station in Winchester on 0845 045 45 45, or call Crimestoppers, the charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
