TWO burglaries in Collins Lane and Main Road, Hursley, are being investigated by police.
Between 2pm on Thursday, August 7, and 11.30am on Monday, August 11, two houses were broken into.
On both occasions entry was forced through the rear window.
At the property in Main Road antiques, including paintings, and jewellery were stolen.
An alarm was activated at the house in Collins Lane and the offender left without taking anything.
PC Stewart Paton said today (August 13): "Both incidents happened on the same weekend, and one of them set off the alarm which must have been heard by people in the neighbourhood.
"I am appealing to anyone who may have some information about either of these two burglaries to contact us."
Anyone with any information in relation to these incidents should contact PC Stewart Paton at North Walls police station in Winchester on 0845 045 45 45, or call Crimestoppers, the charity, anonymously on 0800 555 111.
