WONSTON Community Café has raised £480 for the Boaz Project.

The café, which took place in Victoria Hall, Sutton Scotney, welcomed Cat and Scott  from the charity, with Cat and café volunteer Barbara raising £138.50 by selling bird boxes, jams, cards and jewellery made by the Boaz team.

The next Wonston Community Café will be at the Victoria Hall on Wednesday, April 17 from 9.30am to 12noon. The café will be raising money for Citizens Advice, which offers confidential advice online, over the phone, and in person, for free. This includes advice on consumer rights on our consumer helpline, supporting witnesses in courts through the Witness Service and giving pension guidance to people aged over 50.

The cafe is staffed entirely by volunteers, with homemade cake, freshly made coffee and free parking. The café is cash only.

THE Endless Summer VW Show is returning to Popham Airfield on Sunday, July 21. The not-for-profit show raises money for Naomi House and Jacksplace. Tickets are available on Eventbrite and cost £10 per car entry.

THE Dever Valley Singers are holding a pair of concerts to celebrate the group’s 40th anniversary.

The concerts will be held at St. Margeret’s Church, South Wonston on Saturday, June 15 at 7.30pm and at St. Mary the Virgin Church, Micheldever on Sunday, June 16 at 6pm. There will be a retiring collection for church funds.

THE Gratton Trust is holding a car boot sale on Saturday, April 20.

The event will take place at The Gratton, Sutton Scotney. Under 16s will be able to get in for free, while the adult entrance fee is 50p. Refreshments will be available throughout the day.

The sale will open to customers from 10am, while those who are selling are being asked to arrive from 9am. Spaces for those selling from cars will cost £7.50, while spaces for vans cost £10. Book in advance to guarantee your space by emailing grattoncarboot@gmail.com.

SOUTH Wonston Sustainability is holding a Give, Swap, Buy event on Monday, May 6 at South Wonston Pavilion.

A range of different table sizes are available for free, and it is up to each individual if they want to sell, give away or swap their items. A seed swap is also be held.

SCOTS Tots, the Sutton Scotney baby and toddler group, is hosting a lunch club at the Warren Centre, Micheldever Station, on Tuesday, June 4.

Taking place from 11.30am to 12.45pm, families will be invited to bring their own sandwiches and enjoy lunch together. Unlimited hot drinks, fruit and maybe a cake or two will be on offer.

Spaces must be prebooked to cover the cost of the venue hire; they cost £5 per family/childminder. All money raised will go towards another lunch club meeting and the running of Scots Tots.
