Thomas the Tank Engine is returning to The Watercress Line for his only visit this year during May half-term.

From 25 May to June 2, children can experience the 'Day Out With Thomas: The Bubble Tour' at the heritage railway.

Travelling behind Thomas along the scenic route, meeting Sir Topham Hatt, and interacting with the Sodor Station Sweepers Rusty and Dusty will form the core of the event at Ropley station.

In 2024, there will be two new Rusty & Dusty outdoor entertainment shows, featuring beloved characters such as Percy, Diesel, and Toad.

2024 will also mark the debut appearance of Terence the Tractor.

At the Bubble Tour, Thomas will don a bubbly decoration, providing young fans a superb photo opportunity, alongside designated Thomas-themed selfie spots.

Additional Thomas & Friends activities will be hosted in the play pod zones at Ropley and Alton, complete with storytime sessions and giveaways for every child.

Unlimited rides on the miniature railway and vintage fairground rides will add to the fun.

When it's time to refuel, snacks will be available at T-Junction in Ropley along with a range of food and drink stalls.

Visitors can enjoy their meals at the picnic area with a view of the stunning South Downs.

The Watercress Line’s chief executive Rebecca Dalley encourages fans to get their tickets early: "Day Out With Thomas: The Bubble Tour this May half-term is your only chance to see Thomas & Friends this year.

Tickets gives visitors access to the railway for the whole day, so people are being encouraged to come early and enjoy a day out at Ropley.

Guests can also book their ride with Thomas when they purchase their tickets online.
