Norton Park Hotel, Spa and Manor House has announced its corporate partnership with local hospices, Naomi House & Jacksplace.

To celebrate the partnership, the hotel and charity are hosting a ‘Night at the Races’, with a guest appearance from top classic-winning jockey, Sean Levey.

Naomi House & Jacksplace are hospices based in Sutton Scotney, supporting life-limited and life-threatened children, young adults and their families across the central south.

Naomi House nursing and medical staff provide individualised care that helps to enhance short lives and allows approximately 550 families to make the most of their precious time with their children. 

Jacksplace is the only hospice for young adults in the South. The medical and care teams offer specialist care, often over many years, and uphold the dignity and independence of young adults accessing the service.

Norton Park is supporting the charity and plans on building an ongoing relationship to help the hospices raise vital funds.

General Manager of Norton Park, Paul Russell, said: “Forging an ongoing relationship with a local charity is key to Norton Park’s community mission. The work that Naomi House & Jacksplace undertake is integral to our wider community, helping some of the most vulnerable members of our society and their families through extremely hard times.

Already offering complimentary meeting spaces for the charity on a regular basis, Norton Park has announced an exciting fundraising ‘Night at the Races’ on Thursday, May 2.

The evening will provide up to 200 guests with the thrill of the races alongside a buffet dinner, welcome drink and special appearance from a renowned professional jockey. Guests are invited to place their bets on live totes as they watch horses race down the track on the big screen.

Top classic winning jockey, Sean Levey, will be in attendance, providing the opportunity for guests to discover details of his profession and experience. Sean will be recounting stories of his amazing career that has taken him across the globe, including riding a local filly, Billesden Brook, to victory in the 1,000 Guineas. At 66-1 she was the longest-priced winner in the history of the race.

Senior Fundraiser (Corporate Partnerships) at Naomi House & Jacksplace, Ella Clayton, said: “We’re delighted that Norton Park Hotel have chosen to support our charity and generously provide their excellent facilities so that we can host fundraising events for our supporters.

"The Race Night is set to be a fantastic evening, which will raise vital funds to support the children, young adults and families in our care.”

Paddock Tables seating 10 guests are available for £250. Owner’s Tables include sponsorship of a race and the option to name all eight horses and are available for £350 for 10 guests. All proceeds from the event go directly to Naomi House & Jacksplace.
