A MAN and a teenage boy have been arrested after an attempted burglary in which they made threats to kill.

The attempted burglary happened at around 10.25pm on Wednesday, March 27 at an address on Frensham Lane, Bordon.

Police officers arrested two people the next day, Thursday, March 28, for attempted burglary and making death threats.

A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of burglary with intent to cause criminal damage, while a 16-year-old boy was arrested for burglary with intent to steal. Both the man and the boy made threats to kill.

They have both been released on bail until June 28.

A statement from the police reads: "We were called to a property on Frensham Lane at 10.25pm on Wednesday, March 27 after the homeowner heard a disturbance on his property. He was then threatened.

"No injuries were reported and nothing was stolen.

"Officers launched an investigation and arrested two people on Thursday, March 28.

"A 34-year-old man from Liphook was arrested on suspicion of burglary other than dwelling – with intent to commit damage and making threats to kill.

"A 16-year-old boy from Bordon was arrested on suspicion of burglary dwelling – with intent to steal and making threats to kill.

"They have been bailed with conditions until June 28 while our enquiries continue."
