TWO teenage boys were arrested burglary, criminal damage and assault after a car was stolen.

Officers have arrested two teenagers after reports of burglary, criminal damage and theft of a motor vehicle in the Bordon and Liphook areas.

Police received reports that a red Fiat Bravo was stolen from Apollo Drive, Bordon, on Friday, March 22. The vehicle was later located in Liphook.

A 17-year-old boy from Bordon was arrested on suspicion of burglary, common assault of an emergency worker, theft of a motor vehicle and criminal damage.

A 13-year-old boy from Bordon was arrested on suspicion of burglary and nine counts of criminal damage.

Officers also received reports of damage to cars in the Liphook area on the same day.

Local officers launched an investigation and arrested two teenage boys on Thursday, March 28. During the arrest of one of the boys, an officer was assaulted.

A spokesperson for Hampshire Constabulary said: "A 17-year-old boy from Bordon was arrested on suspicion of burglary dwelling, with intent to steal, common assault of an emergency worker, theft of motor vehicle and nine counts of criminal damage.

"A 13-year-old boy from Bordon was arrested on suspicion of burglary dwelling, with intent to steal, theft of motor vehicle and nine counts of criminal damage.

"They have been bailed with conditions until 28 June while our enquiries continue."
