LAST weekend more than £1,000 was raised in Bishop’s Sutton for the St Nicholas re-roofing project from a raffle and the sale of plants and cakes.

CIVIC chiefs in Alresford have thanked the dozens of people who took part in the annul litter-pick around the town last Saturday.
In a Facebook post the town council said: “A huge huge thank you to all those who turned out on Saturday for the New Alresford Town Council Annual litter pick. It was a great success with around 70 participants.
“If any one still has a litter grabber, if you could return it to the council offices by this Thursday, it would be much appreciated.”

NEW Alresford Town Council is again asking for the public’s help as it prepares a Neighbourhood plan which will set out the vision, objectives, and planning policies for many years to come.
The council says one of the key themes is employment and economic development. It asks: “If you own or run a local business or shop in the town centre, we would very much like to hear from you. We would be very grateful if you could take a few minutes to complete the survey that asks several important questions which will help the advisory group and town council gain a better understanding.
