A PSYCHOLOGICAL drama play will be at the Chesil Theatre next week.
The Haunting of Hill House, based on the book by Shirly Jackson, will be performed by the company from Saturday, April 6 to Saturday, April 17.
Set in the summer of 1960, the play follows a small group of strangers investigating Hill House with the intent of discovering its secrets. But events spiral from mere curiosity into a litany of nightmares.

Director Jim Glaister said: “Shirley Jackson’s tale of an ill-fated scientific study has fascinated people for decades.
“The book gets under the skin and burns itself into the memory, being so rich in mystery and ambiguity.
“It has been my intent to try and do Jackson’s themes and characters justice, and I hope those familiar with the novel will feel this production has succeeded in that aim.”
The Haunting of Hill House runs at the Chesil Theatre, Winchester from April 6 to April 13, with a preview on April 5. Tickets are available from the Chesil Theatre website chesiltheatre.org.uk.
