Greenbuttercup CIC's long-standing arts and crafts group for dementia patients will showcase creations at a mini art exhibition.

Running three Fridays a month at Romsey's Plaza Theatre, the activity group, established nearly eight years ago, is as popular as ever with limited table space and varying attendances.

The exhibition, part of the Dementia Action Week, is set at Crosfield Hall on May 19. The event, organised by Romsey Dementia Action Group (ROMDAG), will strive to amaze the public with artwork produced by the group's members.

Over the summer, the arts and crafts group is to collaborate with a guest artist from the MAST Mayflower Studios. Together, they will create artwork for display in the studios' café area. Plans to exhibit the resulting piece in Romsey subsequently are also being considered.

Limited spots remain open for interested individuals looking to join the arts and crafts session that happens on the first Friday of the month from 10.30am to 12.30pm.

Other activity groups include reminiscence activity and singing, happening on the third and fourth Friday respectively.
