A VANDALISED graffiti mural has been fully restored.

As previously reported, a cross and the word ‘toy’ was sprayed over one of Hendog’s latest pieces of art, ‘Chained to a Daisy’ at St George's Square Bus Shelter in Bishop’s Waltham earlier this week.

However, the vandalism has been washed off, and a protective covering has been put over the mural to protect it from future attacks.

A post on the Bishop’s Waltham Parish Council Facebook page said: “Hendog's Daisy Girl is now restored and covered.

“Many thanks to: Hendog for his artistic work and community support; Cllr Jo Smith for co-ordinating the response to this project; Lee Sherwood of Sherwood Property Development who donated an emergency covering, which will be repurposed for other Parish Council projects; Johnnie and Tracey Martin of Office Graphics & Window Films Ltd who donated the professional acrylic sheet; and the Parish Council groundsmen - Trevor, Kevin and Peter - for the fitting of the cover.”

The girl with the daisy chain was created around a month ago. Other Hendog murals in Winchester include a series of teddy bears, a young girl picking flower petals in Market Street, and ‘Christmas Kev’ by Winchester Bus Station.
