THE Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire presented British Empire Medals to 13 Hampshire residents on behalf of the King.

At recent ceremonies in Winchester and Alton, HM Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire, Nigel Atkinson Esq, was delighted to present the British Empire Medals to Hampshire residents who were named in the New Year Honours List.

Among the recipients were Tina Coldham, from Winchester, who was rewarded for her services to inclusive patient and public involvement in research, Kirsty Tilley, from Waltham Chase, who was recognised for her services to defence and inclusion and Martin Bazeley for his contributions to the Southwick community.

Richard Baldock, from Over Wallop, for services to the community in Over Wallop.

Martin Bazeley, from Southwick, for services to the community in Southwick, Hampshire.

Dr Bronwin Carter, a Paralympic coach from Portsmouth, for services to Sport.

Tina Coldham, a participation, involvement and engagement advisor, NIHR, from Winchester, for services to Inclusive Patient and Public Involvement in Research.

Susan Foster, from Church Crookham, for voluntary service in Hampshire.

Rachael Greenwood, from Cheriton, for services to the community in Bramdean and Hinton Ampner.

Michael Penston, from Southampton, for services to the community in Southampton during Covid-19.

Jean Roberts-Jones, from Eastleigh, for services to the community in Eastleigh and Fareham during Covid-19.

Angela Smith, a lately deputy manager, process controls team, Defence Business Services, from Gosport, for services to defence and to charity.

Kirsty Tilley, a programme Manager, Defence Science and Technology Laboratory, Ministry of Defence, from Waltham Chase, for services to defence and to inclusion.

Mary Trigwell-Jones, from East Worldham, for services to the community in East Worldham.

Mary Wallis, from Southampton, for services to the NHS and to the community in Bloomsbury, London Borough of Camden.

Walter Wrigley, from Portsmouth, for services to St Peter’s NHS Healthcare Trust.
