A SHOCKING new photo shows a fire engine on its side after a crash in the Hampshire countryside near Winchester

The vehicle was travelling on the A272 near Cheesefoot Head when it left the road at approximately 1pm on Monday, March 18.

The vehicle punched through a hedge before coming to a stop on its side. No injuries have been reported.

“The vehicle was not on route to an incident. No other vehicles are involved.

“A second appliance is in attendance at the incident to ensure the welfare of those involved and for scene safety. There are no reported injuries.

“The fire engine is awaiting recovery by our fleet management team and will be taken to our workshop for repairs. An investigation into the circumstances of this incident will be undertaken.”
