Over the last three weeks the draft Borough Local Plan 2040 has been consulted on at eight local exhibitions across the Test Valley.

Members of the public I have spoken to think that all the housing and employment site allocations have already been agreed by councillors.

This is not the case. Other than a briefing session just before Christmas, councillors have not been consulted on any of the site allocations. The draft BLP 2040 is purely a document drafted by planning officers.

If residents have comments to make about the allocations, whether positive or negative, please either write to Planning Policy, Beech Hurst, Andover SP10 3AJ, or email planningpolicy@testvalley.gov.uk, or use the survey on www.testvalley.gov.uk/localplan2040.

A copy sent to your local borough councillors would be helpful.
