ONE application was refused by Winchester City Council planning officers this week. 

In Whiteley, Lorna Irvine's application was refused to demolish the remaining wall and erect feather edge board closer to boundary, increasing the size of a garden by 9m x 2m, at 47 Coriander Way.

All other applications were permitted

In Badger Farm, Nick and Sharon Fielder can have a single storey rear extension in rear garden and single storey extension to front of property, linking the existing garage to the main house, at 14 Hazel Grove. 

Mr and Mrs Bristow, in Curdridge, had a retrospective application permitted for two double car ports at Harfields Farm House, Botley Road. 

An application submitted by Winchester College Estates was permitted for work at Pyles Farm House, Kidmore Lane in Denmead. This is for external repairs and alterations, including formation of four bat access points in ridge and hip locations indicated within the ecology report; full roof repair, including chimney and guttering works; repointing to various sections of wall, including work to the porch; window and door repair and associated decoration; drainage works, including soakaways and underground pipework; loft works; works to one kitchen and two bathrooms; installation of new boiler and radiators; general internal refurbishment, including carpentry works and new flooring throughout; electrical re-wiring using EICR report.

In Durley, Richard Baker's application was permitted for 26 EV ground mounted solar panels (25m x 4m) in the paddock adjacent the residential curtilage; the panels will be connected to an inverter within an existing outbuilding (old stable) on the property. This is at Paddock east of the Old Rectory, Greenwood Lane.

In Headbourne Worthy, James and Sarah O'Keefe and Caven had application permitted for a single storey rear extension and associated alterations to dwelling at Alderbrook, 161A Springvale Road.
Rupert Greatrix, in Micheldever, can have a single storey rear extension at Bramley Cottage, 114 Duke Street.

In Alresford, Nationwide Building Society had an application permitted for work at 5 West Street. This includes a new blue fascia and heritage logo. Window bays repainted, window and door frames repainted and removing window manifestation.

Mr and Mrs Gill's application for a single storey rear and side extension at 1 Hawthorn Close was permitted. 

In Sparsholt, Ian and Wendy Fogg, had an amendment to  21/02532/HOU permitted at Christmas Cottage, Home Lane.

In Wickham, Robert Terry had two retrospective applications permitted for barns barn for agriculture/viticulture use at Quob Park, Titchfield Lane. 

Benjamin Jones had an application permitted for a solar array (three rows of eight covering a total area of 14m x 4.65m and sitting no more than 0.4m high off the ground) and greenhouse in the rear garden of Wickham House, The Square. 

In Winchester, Jonathan Nott had n application permitted for glazed windows at Flat 8 St Thomas, 20 Southgate Street. 

An application submitted by Opeka for a side extension and raising of existing roof height to rear extension at 31 North Walls was permitted. 

Azeem Hamid's application for a change of use from sui generis to HMO was permitted at 29 City Road. 

Miss Humphries and Mr O'Callaghan had an application permitted for the demolition of the existing ground floor rear extension and the construction of a new ground floor rear outrigger infill extension and all associated works. This is at 14 St Pauls Hill. 

Richard Coppin had an application permitted to remove an existing rear lean-to storage area and replace with purpose-built garden/utility room to ground floor and new conservation roof light within front roof slope at 28 Little Minster Street.
