KINGS Worthy Guides celebrated International Women's Day by inviting five local women to the unit to hear about their jobs and lives.
The five women have various careers - in the Army, as a priest, a doctor, an engineer and a county councillor.
International Women's Day was on Friday, March 8.
Christine Cook, local engineer, electrician and Scout leader showed the girls some of her work on the Winchester Christmas lights and then showed them how to rewire a plug.
Amanda Hassell talked about her career in the Army and the changes she has witnessed as a female soldier in the last 30 years.

Cllr Jackie Porter spoke to the unit about serving on the council, as well as sharing pictures of inspirational women in history.
GP Christine Wheatley showed the girls some of her medical equipment and challenged them about stereotypical jobs.
Finally, local priest Jemima Lewis spoke about her role in the community, how she became a priest and demonstrated how she marries couples.
Guide leader Isabelle Haigh said: "It was wonderful that five local women gave their time, energy and expertise freely to our girls. The girls were inspired by careers that they might not have considered as well as hearing about women past and present who make a difference to society both locally and on a global level."
At the end of the evening each girl and visitor was awarded an International Women's Day Girlguiding badge as a memento.
