A MAN caught drug driving near Winchester has been banned from the road for a year.
Matthew Bryan, of Cox Row, Chandler’s Ford, was stopped by police in Hockley Link while driving an Audi A4 on Sunday, September 23, a court heard.
Bryan was tested and returned a reading for BZE greater than 240microgrammes per 100ml of blood, almost five times the limit of 50microgrammes. BZE is a breakdown product of cocaine.
He admitted the charge when he appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Thursday, March 7.
The 43-year-old has been banned from the road for 12 months.
He must also pay a £200 fine, a victim surcharge of £80 and costs of £85. The total of £365 must be paid by April 4.
