A WINCHESTER man has been banned from the road for drink driving.
Louis Trotman, of Broadview Close, Kings Worthy, drove a Volkswagen Golf on Tuesday, January 16 in Broadview Close, a court heard.
Trotman, 44, had 78 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, more than double the prescribed limit of 35 microgrammes.
He pleaded guilty at Basingstoke Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday, March 5.
Trotman was banned from driving for 19 months, which can be reduced by 19 weeks if a course is completed by March 23, 2025.
He was fined £120, a victim surcharge of £48 and costs of £85. The total of £253 must paid in monthly instalments of £10, starting on April 2.
