A COLDEN Common pre-school is holding an Easter egg hunt at the end of March.
Kingfishers is organising the event at Colden Common Community Centre on Sunday, March 24 from 10am-3pm. 
No pre-booking is required, drop in any time. 
It costs £5 per child, which includes the Easter egg hunt, a prize, a drink and a biscuit. 

THE quiristers of Winchester Cathedral are holding a concert in Twyford.
The event is at St Mary's Church at 6.30pm for 7pm, on Saturday, March 16. 
They will be signing a selection of religious and popular music in aid of Winchester Go LD, which supports adults with learning disabilities. 
Tickets cost £18, which includes a glass of wine and light refreshments. Tickets for parents of quiristers cost £12 and under 12s go free.

AN Owslebury church has set up a community choir.
St Andrew's Church will be running on Thursday evenings from 7.30pm-9pm.
No auditions or previous singing experience is required. They will learn a variety of songs including pop, folk and musical theatre. 
The first taster session is free, with additional sessions costing £7.50 a week and £10 a term for sheet music.

A SPRING makers market is coming to Colden Common in March.
It will be held at the community centre On Sunday, March 3 from 1pm-4pm.
There will be a wide range of stalls including local artists, printmakers, crafts, jewellery, ceramics, woodcraft and more.
Refreshments will be available. Entry costs 50p. 
A post on the community centre's Facebook page said: “Are there any local businesses or individuals that would be willing to donate or sponsor a prize for the raffle - along the lines of garden vouchers, children's growing kits, plants, flowers, seeds, or other garden-related items?
Your support would be gratefully appreciated. In return we are more than happy to promote and advertise your business or organisation in the promotion of our event.”

THE Twyford litter pick is fast approaching. 
It will be held on March 16, from 10am. 
The group will be meeting at the front of Twyford Community Centre for litter bags and road allocation. 
Free tea, coffee and juice will be available.

A NEW youth club is starting in Colden Common. 
It will be held at the community centre on the second and fourth Thursdays of the month, from 6.30pm - 8.30pm, starting on March 14. 
To start with, it will be open to year 7 and year 8 pupils only. 
A registration evening was held on Thursday, February 22. 

ENTRIES have opened for the Compton 10k. 
The event will be held on Sunday May 19. 
Entries are open now by visiting compton10k.co.uk. The event will include a fete, supporting Compton School Association. 

COLDEN Common Community Pantry is appealing for new donations.
They currently need tinned food, unopened packets of dry food, jars and cleaning items.
Pasta and rice is not popular, unless it's in a sachet or a tin. Tinned vegetables are not in demand except tomatoes. Personal hygiene items go very quickly. 
The pantry operates from Colden Common Community Centre.
