SEVERAL caravans have left a private car park in Winchester.
At least eight large caravans were seen parked on the Hampshire County Council staff car park next to the Household Recycling Centre in Bar End.
Around 20 travellers' caravans pitched up at the same spot in April last year.
The vehicles were hooked up to generators with work vans dotted around. By the morning of Friday, February 23, all the caravans had left.
A spokesperson for Hampshire County Council said: “The Travellers who were located at the county council’s Bar End depot in Winchester have now vacated the site. This followed an eviction notice issued by Hampshire Police on Thursday February 22.”
