A FITNESS instructor had an unexpected visitor to one of her classes at Otterbourne Village Hall.

Helen Clarke, of ‘en Joy dance fitness, was preparing for a session at the hall in Cranbourne Drive when she spotted a deer in the car park.

The four-legged friend, who didn’t seem to mind Helen taking a photo, was munching on a hedge in broad daylight on Tuesday, February 13 afternoon.

Helen, 41, from Colden Common, said: “I was just setting up for classes at Otterbourne Village Hall and glanced out into the car park and saw the deer in the corner.

“I quietly opened the door to try and get a photo, thinking it would probably run away but it was completely unfazed, looked over at me and then carried on happily eating the hedge before disappearing a few minutes later.

“I’ve seen deer on a couple of occasions early in the mornings but was quite surprised to see one there in the middle of the day. A lovely sight.”

Helen has been running classes such as Zumba, dance fitness and conditioning at Otterbourne Village Hall since August. For more information go to enjoydancefitness.co.uk/.
