RESIDENTS in Abbotswood and Romsey are left with limited or no water yet again due to issues with ground water.

Southern Water tankers arrived again in Sandy Lane, by Abbotswood Estate, on Saturday, February 10, to return supply, according to Test Valley borough councillor Geoff Cooper.

“Residents lost supply at around 9-9.30 this morning,” Cllr Cooper said.

“One of our councillors have been in contact with Southern Water and we're encouraging all residents to contact the company directly. Because the more the Southern Water hear from the residents, the better.

“There are tankers from Southern Water working to get the supply back. But I don't know when supply will be returned to the residents.”

Cllr Cooper also accused Southern Water of dumping sewage in the River Test this week.

“I am calling for them to have their licence revoked for their persistent failure to provide water to our residents and for their continued environmental vandalism,” said the LibDem Parliamentary spokesperson for Romsey and Southampton North.

A statement from Southern Water said: "Our teams are investigating an issue in SO51 0AT which means you may lose pressure or water supply today.

"We're sorry for the inconvenience this could cause."
