A PHYSIOTHERAPIST is opening a new business in a former Italian gift and homeware store.

Winchester Physio and Health will be launching in Parchment Street in early spring.

Forme left the unit vacant after 25 years in Parchment Street in the summer, with the family behind the independent store choosing to return to their Italian roots.

According to Companies House, Winchester Physio and Health is owned by Jack Winyard who previously worked for physiotherapy clinic Bodyset. The company was registered before Christmas.

The new business will offer sports massages, personal training and physio such as injury management, post-operative rehab and shockwave therapy.

Forme manager Andrew Butling and his family have re-opened in San Casciano in Val di Pesa near Florence, with the new name of Nuovo Corso which means “new path”. The family was overwhelmed with the support of its loyal Winchester supporters who visited to give their well wishes before they left.

The shop was let by Primmer Old BAS. The windows have now been filled with Winchester Physio and Health signs, promoting the business. The signs read “coming in early spring.”
