A GROUND worker discovered some bones on a patch of land near a school in Droxford.
Police cordoned off the area in Park Lane, following reports of the surprising discovery on Friday, January 26. Officers remained overnight before they concluded their investigation today (January 27) – announcing that the bones were not human.
A spokesman for Hampshire Police said: "We were called at 10.10am on January 26 to a report of some bones being discovered by a ground worker. The remains are believed to be from a horse."
Police have now left the area.
