Only one month into 2024, New Alresford is off to an exciting start bringing the popular coffee shop Josie’s to town. With branches already in Bishop’s Waltham, Winchester, Petersfield, Romsey and Chandler’s Ford, Josie’s is a business destined to hit it off in the quaint market town.

Estimated to be open towards the end of February, the shop is currently busy renovating its interior following their takeover of Party at the Mill, the previous owners of the building. An old Mill employee and local resident Joe Cantor displayed his enthusiasm towards the Café’s newest endeavour, stating: “Josies’ target demographic fits perfectly with what Alresford is looking for”.

This seemed especially telling after speaking with a few of the Josie’s customers from other branches. Although ideal for working adults and your everyday coffee catch ups, Josie’s seems to tick all the boxes for students specifically.

Laura Hart, a college student, described her satisfaction with a first-time experience visiting the Josie’s in Winchester: “The service was very quick as staff were so attentive- I found paying great as they had QR codes to help make the process easy which is what you want really. The food itself was a generous size but I was able to eat it all because it was just so heavenly”.

Situated next to the Station Mill Health and Fitness Gym and Alresford’s beloved Watercress Line, Josie’s will be located at the heart of Alresford.

Whether you visit for a quick coffee fix or intend to indulge in a famous Josie’s brunch (sold all day!), the shop is suitable for everyone to enjoy.
