A MICHELDEVER man has been fined almost seven times the cost of a ticket for travelling on a train without paying.
David James, of Carousel Park, boarded a train at Totton on March 3, 2023 without a valid ticket.
The 43-year-old was found guilty under the single justice procedure at Portsmouth Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, January 11.
He has been ordered to pay a fine of £220, £32.50 compensation to South Western Railway, a victim surcharge of £88 and £160 costs.
James must pay the total amount of £500.50 by February 8.
