A KINGS Worthy motorist has been banned from the road for failing to provide a specimen of breath to the police.
Jose Navarro-Arroyo, 60, of Pound Road, was stopped by officers in Winchester on June 27, a court heard.
On July 11 he denied failing to provide a specimen of breath but was found guilty after a trial at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on Monday, December 4.
Re-appearing at Basingstoke Magistrate’s Court for sentencing on Tuesday, January 16, Navarro-Arroyo was banned from the road for 30 months, which can be reduced by 30 weeks if he completes a course by September 5, 2025.
An electronically monitored curfew has also been put in place, requiring him to stay at his home from 8pm to 6am every night from January 16 to April 15.
He has also been ordered to pay £620 costs and £114 surcharge. The total amount of £734 is to be paid by February 13.
