A WINCHESTER offender has been ordered to tackle his drug addiction after he burgled a city centre house.
Paul Wild, 41, of Hyde Gate, Hyde, admitted stealing a guitar and bars of chocolate from a property in Parchment Street, a court heard.
Wild admitted the offence which happened on September 2, said Kerry Richardson, prosecuting at Basingstoke Magistrates Court.
Magistrates on Thursday January 4 imposed a community order requiring Wild to undertake a 12-month drug treatment programme as well as up to 20 days rehabilitation activity.
He must also pay £100 compensation and a £114 victim surcharge. The penalties must be paid at the rate of £20 a month starting on February 22.
