TWO personal trainers have kickstarted the New Year with more than 150 members joining their new gym.

Alfy Whittingham and Tom Donaldson opened Elevate Fitness Studio, at Harman House in Andover Road, last month.

The business partners met while working as coaches for OrangeTheory at the same location. When the gym closed in September, the pair decided to take on the premises and launch a new studio with a fresh approach to membership and training.

Alfy said: “It was great to welcome everyone into the Elevate studio. We are excited to be supporting many of them on their fitness journeys. We are also looking forward to working on more Winchester community events later this year.”

“We knew this was a great location for a gym and that many of our previous clients wanted to continue to train with us. We also knew that they liked the technology and training style but wanted something more for their money.”

Members can train outside of class times with a personal trainer always on hand for support. The timetable includes the signature Elevate 60 group sessions which are focused on improving strength, mobility and cardio fitness using equipment and technology. There are also specialised classes such as Pilates and menopause fitness.

To help launch the new business, Elevate offered free sessions throughout December, supported the annual Tinathon challenge with dedicated classes and led the warm-up for Winchester Hospice’s inaugural Purple Night Walk.

Elevate Fitness Studio has successfully started this year with more than 150 members. For more information go to elevatefitnessstudios.com.
