A DANCE arts school has found a new home for its weekend classes after a college it holds lessons at cancelled its weekend bookings.

As previously reported, Roynon Performing Arts had its weekend classes at Swanmore College cancelled until further notice, with the college saying that it is “investigating” Roynon.

However, the performing arts school, which offers dance lessons to children aged two and up, has managed to find a new venue for weekend classes. The lessons will take place at Wickham Community Centre on Mill Lane.

“I must again apologise for this inconvenience and needing to move venues but the situation is unfortunately out of our hands.

“Thank you for your support and kind wishes, and for sticking with us through this difficult time.”

The new venue is for weekend classes only, while weekday classes remain as normal.

It is not currently known on what grounds Swanmore College is investigating Roynon Performing Arts, or who is carrying out the investigation.

The 'investigation' is believed to centre around a fundraising cake sale for Abby's Heroes, which Roynon held outside its classes in the car park at the college on Saturday, December 2.

In a separate email sent to parents, Ms Munday said that she has received no communications from the college since the term ended in December.

Swanmore College has been reached for further comment.
