A HAMPSHIRE woman who was made a BEM has said she feels honoured to receive the award.

Former Bramdean and Hinton Ampner Parish Clark Rachael Greenwood was recognised on this year’s New Year’s Honours list for her services to the community, receiving a British Empire Medal.

She told the Chronicle: “I felt honoured to be nominated for an award.

“I was fortunate to have the wholehearted support of Parish Councillors (past and present) during my 22 years as Clerk to Bramdean and Hinton Ampner Parish Council, a period of fundamental change in local government.”
