A ROMSEY hotel is looking forward to events over the coming months with a new general manager.

The White Horse Hotel, in the town centre, is owned by The Coaching Inn Group and is now under the leadership of Russell Carley.

Mr Carley, known for his expertise in the hospitality industry, has spearheaded a series of changes aimed at re-establishing the hotel as the premier spot in Romsey.

The restaurant is gaining recognition for its diverse menu. Also, the introduction of a new cocktail bar and the success of Uncorked wine and food pairing events with local sommelier Sam Searles have further enhanced the hotel's appeal.

Mr Carley said: "We've received a fantastic response to our themed Christmas party nights, and I'm thrilled about our upcoming events at the end of this month.”

The hotel is due to host a whisky-tasting masterclass on Saturday, January 27, followed by a Burns Night celebration. Mr Carley promises an authentic Scottish experience, complete with a Scottish cocktail, canapés, a bagpiper in full regalia to herald the haggis, a three-course Burns supper, paired wines selected by the sommelier, a dram of whisky, and a Ceilidh band with a caller to keep the celebration lively into the late hours.

Mr Carley said: "We are bringing a full Burn's Night to Romsey, with all the ingredients you'd normally expect north of the border.”
