A MISSING pet ferret has been reunited with its owner following a wild goose chase by police.
The ferret, named Happy, was discovered and captured by officers in Stanmore in the early hours of Thursday, January 4.
Happy was then safely taken to MiNightsVets in Winnall to get some rest.

READ MORE:In a post on Facebook, Winchester Police said: “In the early hours of Thursday, January 4, Police ended a wild goose chase of a Ferret in Stanmore.
“Ferret is safe and got a police escort to MiNightsVets in Winnall to get some well-deserved rest after his adventures.”
Police later confirmed that Happy has been reunited with his owner.
