We hear a lot of criticism of our health services so I would like to redress the balance by mentioning the excellent care that my wife has had recently after suffering some serious medical problems.

Her doctor at the Alresford surgery, after a home visit, started the wheels turning for a whole range of help and services provided by Hampshire County Council and the NHS, which many people may not be aware of.

First of all the urgent community response delivered several much-needed pieces of equipment, after which she then had help from the community therapy team, including physiotherapy, and then daily care from the wonderful carers of the reablement group.

All this was provided in such a friendly and efficient manner, and our heartfelt thanks go out to all these dedicated professionals, without whom my wife would not be recovering as well as she now is.

Grateful thanks to all of you.
