A MAN was caught over the drink drive limit in Winchester twice in under two weeks.

Gurdeep Singh was driving a 21-reg Nissan Acenta when stopped by officers on October 27 on Stoney Lane in Weeke. He returned an alcohol reading of 59 micrograms in 100 milliltres of breath. The legal limit is 35, a court heard.

On November 6 in Bereweeke Road, Weeke, and blew an alcohol reading of 65 micrograms in 100 millilitres of breath.

Singh, of Hulse Road, Southampton, admitted both charges when he appeared in court on November 6 and the case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report until December 14.

District Judge Tim Pattinson at Basingstoke Magistrates Court put the case back to February 6.
