They meet every cat’s specific dietary requirements, whether that’s providing their usual brand of cat food, storing and preparing raw food diets, or offering a choice of options from the freshly prepared ‘A La Cat’ menu.
A hotel spokesman said: “A huge percentage of the UK population agrees that cats can enrich our daily lives, with a growing number of us choosing to share our homes with them. There are now some 11 million pet cats in the UK - that’s 26 per cent of households. And this number continues to grow each year. Cats can help relieve the stress of our hectic, modern lives simply by being themselves: petting your furry feline after a busy day can help your body to release stress-reducing hormones, helping to decrease your heart rate and blood pressure and reducing anxiety levels. Many of us benefit from the companionship of a feline friend – they help us to focus on the here and now and take time out from worrying about the complexities and stresses that our busy lives can throw at us. It is so rewarding to nurture these affectionate and calming creatures and receive their love and attention in return.”
Longcroft is the UK’s only luxury hotel group for cats, with 25 locations in the UK. Founded in 2010, the business aims to offer peace of mind to cat owners when they go away by providing a tailored, home-from-home experience.
