THE Colden Common and Twyford Cycle Bus is organising a Santa sleigh ride.
They will be in Colden Common on Saturday, December 23. 
A group of reindeer will be cycling with Santa in his sleigh with an elf or two, with lights and music. 
There will be a photo stop at The Rising Sun with mulled wine, hot chocolate and minced pies. 
Start time is 4.30pm at Colden Common Community Centre and finishing at 5.30pm at the same place. 

COLDEN Common will be alive with Christmas carols.
English and Ukrainian carols will be sung around the village on Thursday, December 21.
There will be collection buckets for the Colden Common 4 Ukraine group but this is primarily a cross-cultural event to celebrate with the Ukrainian community. 
The event has been developed with members of the Ukrainian community with suggested elements from their own carol singing traditions.
They will start at 5pm in Blackthorn Green and finish at 8.15pm at the Brambridge Arms.

TWYFORD and Colden Common are hosting Christingle services on Christmas Eve. 
The service at St Mary's, Twyford, will start at 3pm and the service at Holy Trinity, Colden Common, will start at 5pm. 
The South Downs Gateway Churches describe the Christingle service as a 'joyful celebration that brings families and communities together to hare the light of Jesus and spread the message of hope'. 
Both services will have a collection for The Children's Society. 

A TWYFORD pub is holding a Christmas quiz.
The Phoenix Inn will be hosting it on Thursday, December 21, starting at 8.30pm.
Teams of up to six people, at £2 per person.
A bowl of chips will be included.

TWYFORD Community Centre is having a New Year's Eve party. 
The event is open to all. Bring your own food, but the bar will be open.
It will last from 7pm-1am to see in 2024.
There will be music, fun and games. Entry is by ticket only, £5 per person and £10 per family.

French conversation at any level on the last Thursday of the month, from 1.30pm - 3.15pm.

THE Compton and Shawford village panto will be held in January next year.
They will be performing The Sword in the Stone at Shawford Village Hall from January 11-13. 
Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s and over 65s.

COLDEN Common Community Transport is looking for more volunteer drivers.
They operate shopping trips to local supermarkets on Wednesdays and Thursdays.

WORK to repair the roof of Twyford Community Centre will start on January 3.
It is expected to last between three and four weeks. 
The car park will be closed on January 3 so the scaffolding can be put up.
