A yellow weather warning for rain has been issued by the Met Office.
Forecasters have warned that the heavy downpour may lead to flooding in some areas.
The yellow weather warning is in place from Thursday, December 7, at 11am until 10pm.

It covers Salisbury, Winchester and Southampton.
Heavy rain is forecast in Winchester from 10am until 6pm.
The Met Office warns:
- Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
- Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
- Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely
The full Met Office reads: "Dull with pulses of rain, particularly heavy over south-facing hills and coastal areas. Becoming drier in western counties by the end of the afternoon. Windy with local coastal gales. Milder. Maximum temperature 10 °C."
