A MUGGER attacked a teenage girl in Romsey punching her in the face.

The robbery took place on the underpass along Canal Walk between 5.30pm and 6pm on Saturday, November 25.

The victim, a 15-year-old girl, had got off a train at the station and was walking along the underpass.

When she was in a woodland near the Environment Agency office, she was approached by a man wearing a dark hooded top.

He demanded her possessions, before punching her in the face and leaving with the victim’s bag.

Following the incident, the police were called. The bag was a Primark satchel-type bag with a long strap. It contained perfume, lip gloss and hair grips.
