A HAMPSHIRE man has been fined after being caught owning a sword.
Christopher Paine, 37, was found in possession of a weapon in a private place on June 21.
The sword, belonging to Paine from Winchester, has been seized and destroyed.

Appearing at Basingstoke Magistrate’s Court on Tuesday, November 21, Paine, of Edinburgh Road, Kings Worthy, pleaded guilty to the offence.
He also pleaded guilty to producing 106 grams of cannabis, which has also been seized and destroyed.
He has been fined £120, with a £72 surcharge. The total amount of £192 must be paid by January 31.
