Several roads will be closed this weekend as the country marks Remembrance Day. 

Remembrance Sunday is traditionally marked with wreath laying, wearing poppies and parades.

Here are the road closures to expect this Remembrance Sunday, November 12.

Hampshire Chronicle: There will be a parade in Winchester which will leave the Broadway at 9.30am and conclude at the Cathedral just before 10am.

The Broadway will be closed from its junction with Buskett Lane and its westerly junction with Colebrook Street from 8.30am until 12.00pm on Sunday. 

Colebrook Street between Market Lane and the Broadway will also be closed with Market Street closed for its entire length. The High Street will be closed from Colebrook Street to Market Lane from 8.30am until 12.00pm.

Certain roads in Romsey will be closed from 1.00am till 11.40am due to the Remembrance parade. The parade will leave Love Lane at 9am and conclude at Romsey Abbey for the 9.25am service.

The following roads will be closed due to the parade route: Bell Street, Love Lane, Church Lane, Latimer Street, Church Place, Market Place and Middlebridge Street.

Part of Flexford Road will also be closed from 10am until 12pm.

Bishop’s Waltham will face road closures from 10am until 12.30pm as the Remembrance Day Parade will march along the High Street from 10.30am and return to St George’s Square at 12.20pm.

This route will affect Basingwell Street, St Georges Square, High Street, Bank Street and St Peters Street as they will all be closed from 10am until 12.30pm.

In Fair Oak, Fair Oak Road between its junctions with Botley Road and Summerlands Road will be closed between 10.30am and 12pm as the parade passes. There will be a diversion to turn right at Summerlands Road as the rest of Fair Oak Road will be closed.
