Christmas might still be a little way off, but for those who live in Hampshire, plenty of Christmas markets will be popping up soon.

It will be an opportunity for people to purchase Christmas-related crafts and enjoy some street food as the temperatures get a little colder.

Plus, you may even be able to try out an ice rink, go on some funfair rides and see some live music.

With that in mind, we have put together a list of some of the best Christmas markets across the county that you need to explore during the most wonderful time of the year.

Hampshire Christmas Markets for 2023

Southampton Christmas Market

Address: Above Bar Street, Southampton SO14 7SJ

The Southampton Christmas Market for 2023 will take place from Thursday, November 16 to Tuesday, January 2.

It will once again be run by S&D Leisure who will be offering a number of different funfair rides, including the UK’s tallest Ferris wheel.

Additionally, there will be plenty of stalls offering food and drink, live entertainment and special gifts from a selection of vendors.

Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market

Address: Inner Close, Winchester SO23 9LS

The Winchester Cathedral Christmas Market will be open daily from Friday, November 17 to Thursday, December 21.

Admission to the market is free and there will be a great number of options for food and drink such as mulled wine, bratwurst, mince pies and stollen.

Additionally, there will be many craftspeople selling their wares and a photo opportunity with a Nativity scene set up.

Milestones Christmas Market

Address: Milestones Museum, Churchill Way West, Basingstoke RG22 6PG

The Milestones Christmas Market will be open on the weekend of December 2-3 and represents an opportunity for people to find some unique crafts and gifts.

They add: "Browse seasonal gifts and treats at independent stalls throughout the museum. Be sure to visit the award-winning Milestones shop, too, for all your Christmas gift needs!"

Hawk Conservancy Trust Christmas Market

Address: Hawk Conservancy Trust, Andover, Hampshire, SP11 8DY

Taking place between Thursday, November 23 and Saturday, November 25 the Hawk Conservancy Trust Christmas Market will have plenty going on.

Around 60 local businesses will be attending selling all sorts of items such as Christmas decorations, handcrafted treats, beautiful homeware and much more.

In terms of food and drunk there will be a speciality hot chocolate stand, barbecue, churros stand and mulled wine also.

Petersfield Christmas Festival

Taking place over the weekend of December 9-10 the Petersfield Christmas Festival is set to offer a whole load of festive fun.

In the town centre, there will be Christmas music live on stage in The Square, plenty of family entertainment, lit-up tractors from the Petersfield Charity Tractor Run and loads of stalls to satisfy your Christmas shopping needs.
