Businesses across Winchester are invited to an evening of practical advice on how to use sustainable design to support their journey to net zero.

The free event, at Thursday Studio in Andover Road on November 2, features expert speakers and a panel discussion to answer local business leaders’ questions.

It comes in the wake of Winchester Green Week and research that indicates nine out of 10 businesses do not fully understand what the UK’s net zero targets mean for them.

Organiser Philip Tutt-Leppard, from 360 Integrated PR, said: “Design is central to most businesses when it comes to cutting carbon emissions; we need to improve the design of our products, online and e-commerce services and the buildings we work in. Yet many don’t know where to start or what power they have to generate change. This clinic provides a chance to discuss the opportunities with people who are already tackling the issue.”

Guests will hear from: Simeon de Roemer - technical director at Thursday; Katie Campling - founder of Earthian; Simon Terry - custodian at Anglepoise; and Scot Masker of Masker Architects.

The Sustainable Design Clinic is being hosted by design agency Thursday Studio at its offices at Cromwell House in Andover Road.
